The Amended & Restated SG Plan (Plan) is intended to protect all ORVs identified in the Wild & Scenic Eligibility Reports for segments 4 through 7.
  • Long-Term Protection Measures are defined in the Plan and include appropriation of Colorado Water Conservation Board instream flows, continued delivery of water to downstream demands, continued delivery to downstream senior water rights, and ongoing existing water delivery to the 15-Mile Reach for the endangered fish species under the Upper Colorado River Endangered Fish Recover Plan.
  • Cooperative Measures are voluntary strategies that are used by the SG to maintain or enhance the ORVs. Opportunities for cooperative measures are considered annually and are based on hydrologic conditions, consideration of the ORV Indicators and Resource Guides, and availability of voluntary cooperative measures that do not impair the ability of water providers to meet their water supply commitments using prudent operational constraints.
