Upper Colorado River Floatboating Survey

2013 - 2019 W&S River User Surveys

To gain a better understanding of the floatboating experience for recreational boaters and anglers, the Upper Colorado River Wild & Scenic Stakeholder Group (SG), in cooperation with BLM and USFS, conducted surveys along the Upper Colorado River. Results from the 2013 - 2019 surveys have already contributed to a better understanding of floatboating and angling, both commercial and private.

Over the course of each field season, we have refined the survey questions, expanded the number of take-outs and increased the number of survey days. Data from the surveys will be used to evaluate resource users’ perceptions of their experience and support good management decisions by the SG and the agencies.

Below are the surveys used during the 2017 season:
